Our July dinner will held at etHo’s Restaurant and Lounge in Kalim, Phuket. This is a newly built restaurant scheduled for opening in early August and we have a unique opportunity to sample its delights before the main opening. Managed by Thomas Brack, former manager of The 9th Floor we are certain to receive both great service and superb food all served by stunning staff.
As always we start the evening with a milder cigar and welcome drink watching the sunset and then move in to the air conditioned restaurant to dine. Once finished we move back outside to enjoy the fresh air and a 2nd cigar and whatever spirit takes your fancy – there are a number to choose from as Thomas is a cigar smoker and knows what goes well with a good cigar
This month’s cigar choices are a Romeo y Julieta 1875 Clemenceau and a Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Short Crystal. The Clemenceau received an 89 rating from Cigar Aficionado and described it as ” This toothy toro is spicy and leathery. It gathers strength as it’s smoked, leading to a spicy finish with notes of black pepper”. The Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Short Crystal received a rating of 91 and tasting notes of “spicy ginger and cinnamon are balanced by a touch of nuttiness on this golden-brown cigar. The draw is lush and the burn is even.”
